Rhino Park APs (Jabiru engine rated)

Postby justin.schoeman » Wed Jul 08, 2015 12:09 pm

Whee! The CAA song and dance is happening again...

Can anybody recommend a mobile AP who serves the Rhino Park area, and is rated on Jabiru engines? Seems Monty is no longer an AP (I know he was planning on leaving the country).

Thanks,
Justin

Hi Justin, Monty has left the country a while ago. Try Johan Lok he might be able to refer you to someone or you can also try Leon from Springs.
Btw where did you buy the mesh you used for you filters? I have had no success finding any.

PS - I do have some mild steel mesh that can also be soldered - but the coating needs to be cleaned off....

Philip isn't an AP - he used to use Monty, but has not found a new guy yet. Not sure about KFA - but last I checked he was a bit busy for call-outs...

Following up on the other leads - thanks all.

If the plane still had a valid PFA, then the annual would not be a problem (plenty of fly-in APs around). Even considered a special flight permit to fly it in to an AP - but you need an AP to inspect the aircraft for a special flight permit application :( .

Willie Van Wyk zero 72 317 7768 He does my Bantam (80hp. Jab.) on our farm near Harties.
Stays in Pta. so Rhino shouldn't be a problem for him.
He is booked up 2/3 weeks in advance and can only do on Sat or Sun.
Hope this helps,
Mike

Recommended. I've got mesh from them before. Very helpful and knowledgeable people and they'll also sell you any size as well.
