Flying Funny

Postby Morph » Tue Aug 01, 2006 2:37 pm

Some of you may know or have heard of my ex-wife.She had started taking flying lessons about the time our divorce started (1994) and she got her license shortly before our divorce was final, later that same year.

Yesterday afternoon, she narrowly escaped injury in the aircraft she
was piloting when she was forced to make an emergency landing in a garden in Boksburg because of bad weather and crashed.

The National Transportation Safety Board officials have issued a preliminary determination citing pilot error contributed to the accident, as she was flying a basic model in IFR (instrument flight rating) conditions
whileonly having obtained a VFR (visual flight rating.)

The absence of a post-crash fire was likely due to insufficient fuel on
board. No one on the ground was injured.

Photograph was taken at the scene and shows the extent of damage to her aircraft.

She was very, very lucky.

Morph Of late I often find in the messages a reference to a photo, just as yours does. I see no photo at all. Do I have some setting incorrect?

Pleased she is OK though. Anybody hurt on the ground?

Hey Morph , I need the name of the instructor as well as the flight school asap :shock:Dis is serious stuff , will report em to DCA . Me wife and mother in law are testpilots on the same type . Both have ratings and both got em wings with honour. Good school dat taught em both , man day can drive dat thing , you should check em doing aerobatics with dat machine , Both the dogs know dat in the right hands dat instrument is in the war zone - Maybe Denel should investigate
The old girl seems to be a little slow of late , dem horses seem to be typical Japanese , (alittle small , Many but a bit light) or maybe da old girls is still growin, Ja man now me thinks about it both of dem aregrowing , specially in da but . Should your ex need lessons , send em my way , sure da test pilots will fit her in their busy shedule . an I can enjoy me guinness in piece   , Fly safely Leprachaun
