Bennie
What sort of budget you looking at? Usually local is cheaper, especially when comparing new. Older may be cheaper if imported, but R:$ is not helping.
There have been a couple 503 Bensons for sale locally for less than R100K if that what you looking for, else looks like R300K ballpark is what eggbeaters cost....
Don't know much about Gyro's but based on what seems to be R300K+ entry level sport, this seems to be a very good deal?

I fly a tandem and while the centreline seating is great (fighter like) when alone, when socialising it a ballacke. My lighties sometimes need a klap and I can't reach or they get sick & i can't help. Mommy also does not like looking at my pip all the time, so for social flying I would def go side by side... Thus as I like the side by side seating and this puppy looks like a winner.

No idea on price though. Agent seems to have the inside track on this one. RAF2000 also maybe an option? Obviously if you looking to fly alone ignore the above.
Some bed time reading...

Bennie Bennie Bennie....
As ek die geld gehad het dan sou daar 3 Gyro's in my hanger gestaan het, ok, dalk een. Dink net daaraan, omtrent geen hitte turbulensie of 'n geskud as jy deur vuil lug vlieg nie.

Capt. Bennie Gyro
Buying a 1 seater plane/gyro/choppie I think is not a good idea. It gets lonely up there when you are one up......! I'll rather save some money and buy a 2 seater.

A while back there were ideas posted about where to put your camping gear on a trike. What about a Gyro, how well do these fair with camping and xcountry?
I doubt the broomstick version will have many options

Bennie, I hope you not using that line when convincing your wife to invest in a gyro choppie
