Greetings Fellow Pilots!
Just to let you know that the windsock at Aeroden (Magaliesberg) is once again fully functional!

Good to know because it seemed like this weekend there was a hell of a lot more wind than we predicted ?? - was howling in JHB.

At Kroon it was like a tumble drier
Went to Brits and it was smooth as baby bums....... perfect.
Took off from Aeroden in a tumble drier, but as soon as you clear the turbulence created by the mountain (when blowing from the south), the air becomes manageable.
Aeroden windsock gets severely affected by wind - although you still land on 18 (uphill) and take off 36.(downhill)
