Good day all,

I took this pic at the 2014 SAAF Museum airshow, piloted by Scully Levin. Does anyone know what the "hump" on top of the fuselage is for? Have not seen this on a 737.

Thanks

It's an in-flight WiFi antenna.

I do know what the hump is - it was installed by wireless G it is the WIFI aerial installed so that all passengers can have wifi connection while you travel , you should enjoy it since you paid for it out of your taxes.

Cheers (**)

Yip, Mango have been advertising the on board wifi facility. Very cool if you want to pass by the 2hr flight between Jhb & Ctn on your tablet.

I found it very slow on the ct flight I tried it on... I now rather sit and read a good book, or watch a movie on my tablet... I don't need to post on facebook and the like while on a flight...
