Don't think you will be able to finance a microlight easily. Most guys just do a personal loan. Apparently microlights are risky according to the banks and life insurance companies :?

WESBANK.... hmmmmph, don't make me giggle ;-)

From their website....
The experts in Aviation Finance

WesBank is an expert in aviation finance and can tailor-make a solution to suit your aircraft finance requirements. Whether you are adding an aircraft to your existing fleet or wish to improve your executive travel arrangements, we have a finance solution for you.

We finance General Aviation aircraft supplied by our trusted agents and approved suppliers and we welcome all established business owners to try us first. So if you are buying a local aircraft or importing, we have the expertise to assist you.

Please note that our minimum deal size is R750,000 for local transactions and R3 million for imports. We do not finance Non Type Certified Aircraft (i.e. Light Sport or Microlights) and we may insist on having Indigosat aircraft satellite tracking devices installed on certain Turbine or Jet aircraft. All private sale transactions will require an inspection by our approved appraiser, Aircraft Assessing Company, to confirm condition and value.
