Wingfield Airfield - Lochvaal

I have to meet some family at Lochvaal tomorrow and I see this airfield at Lochvaal.
Anyone know this field? Can I flyin or is it private?
I will be there for about 4 - 5 hours.

It is the same owner as hippo pools. Contact Jay-Jay Jordaan on Avcom. He knows the owner and can give you the number
I know they charge landing and parking fees there so just find out and arrange before flying there

Ek wou nog altyd soontoe vlieg. Sal bietjie n plan maak om eendag daar te land. Lekker vlieg.

I hanger at Wingfield . George's daughter and husband live at wingfield and control the runway. You can give Conrad a ring on o82 899 6397.
You shouldnt have any problem arranging landing and parking

No i dont think they will. There is a field (Rodia Aero Park) approx 3 nm to the north-east of Wingfield that is run by JJ on this forum. Contact him , perhaps you could camp there.

We used to fly to Wingfield in the 90's and camp for the weekend. Sometimes someone took a boat that added to the entertainment.
I used to arrange this for EAA chapter 322 as a regular outing. Derek Hopkins took the Harvard in there as well. We often had more than 5 aircraft fly in for the event.
Used to be good fun.
They charged us a nominal fee per person.
