If you want a decent Trike textbook, buy Trikes, The Flex Wing Flyers by Lucian Bartosik and Hal MacSwain. It is the Trikers bible and can be ordered from Ranier in CT. Its worth every cent :D :D

My skygod reminded me of the following extract, about low level flying, seeing that it seems to be the subject here and there:

The following guideline, however, presses our general resistance to dogmatic rules and procedures. It is this: "Make certain that wherever you fly, you have a safe place to land your aircraft" We fully recognize that this word of counsel will more likely than not be the most quickly refected, and if not rejected, ignored. Sure, taking it up above 10 000 feet can give you an unparalleled view, but at 10,000 feet in a trike, things happen very slowly. It's getting down in the weeds, picking gnats out of your teeth, shaking hands with rattlers, and racing jackrabbits that are some of the most enjoyable aspects of flying trikes. To fly but a few feet above the trees: what an incredible sensation, what a view!

You know, guys and gals, I just gotta agree with Fairy about this book by Bartosik and Mcswain 'TRIKES - The Flex Wing Flyers'.

It just is about the damned best trikers book I have ever read.

I mean, take a look on page 7-161, just after they have finished writing about low level flight and chasing Jack Rabbits and catching rattlers etc., they go on to discuss High Level Flight. and this is how they start the paragraph:

"We offer four cautions regarding high level flight."

Ja. To all the true trikers out there, go get this book and read it.
