We at EAA Chapter 973, Krugersdorp, have started an Aviation Library and are looking for donations of books, videos, DVDs, e-books, relating to any issue of aviation, including biographies, aircraft construction techniques (e.g., EAA books), flying skills, safety, aircraft design, fiction etc. etc. No limit as long as the content relates to aviation.

We are also building up a collection of those special tools used in engine maintenance and aircraft construction, such as rib lacing needles, Nicropress crimping tool and weigh scales. There are many tools which cost plenty bucks but get used only a few times during the building of an aircraft and then gather dust when the aircraft is built or the owner has moved on to other things.

There may be books or other items in deceased estates which would otherwise just be turfed out.

Sport Aviation is horribly fragmented in SA but we ignore the boundaries. We want to create a centre where people with a passion for aviation in any form can get together, gain info., exchange experiences and generally just help each other. We meet on the third Saturday of the month at 14:00 at FAKR and visitors are very welcome. Just bring one thing with you and that is your passion for aviation! We were visited by aliens the other day – see photos!

The honourable Tailspin is a member so check this out with him!
