Hi Deon, I ordered my plane in December / Jan and took delivery in May. I guess it will all depend on how busy John is. Actual build time once they start is 6 to 8 weeks. So that's pretty quick, just depend how many planes are in the pipeline. vhpy

My extra's were: transponder, artificial horizon, 6 ply aircraft tyres, stainless steel leading edge on the prop, glove box, G205 stick grip with trim on grip and PTT, trim indicator and extra undercoat.

I opted not to install EFIS as I prefer the analogue instruments - easier to read for me. I also installed a Garmin GLO GPS and hooked that up with a mini IPod with Airnav Pro. Works like a dream. vhpy vhpy

On the cost I would download the spreadsheet from Savannah Africa's website (http://savannahac.co.za/). It will calculate the cost very accurately for you. You can enter the exchange rate and you can select the optional extra's.

The only instrument I would add is a fuel flow meter. I have space for it so I am going to add that.

I also upgrade to the Savannah S. I received mine end July. I had a Savannah since 2008. What a pleasure to fly! Enjoy your flying. I want to fly to a friend in Dorabis Namibia on a game farm. We must possible do it with few Savannahs?

Last week-en me and the wife had our first cross country and stay over at Kokoriba. Also like the fact that Panorama to Kokoriba is 55 minutes.

Hi Willem

congrats on an awesome aerie...I wish you many happy and safe flying hours.

excuse my ignorance, but where is Kokoriba?

Hi Willem
If you want to treat your wife and have a fantastic trip, the next place to visit must be Ntokozo Lodge. Tribal Croc and his wife Landie are excellent hosts.

Hi Zoobie, Kokoriba is just north east of Rooikoppies dam (north of Brits) coords: S25 21.966 E27 37.092.

Hi Willem I can attest to this as well, you will be hard-pressed to find more friendly hosts than Francois & Landie, Francois will even fly next to you with he's GT450 & show you the area (^^)

Then we must start putting something together. I am going to start getting information for a Savannah trip? I am sure we will get Savannah mates to join us?

Hi Willem My plane is being build by two guys from Klerksdorp so I can pop in and follow the building process.Seems like it will take more than the two months that I have predicted .There is another one in Klerksdorp being build ,so we will be four Savannah's when all is finished. Can't wait.
