Ek is nie lus vir hoe berge nie en wil weet wat is die beste roete en ook wat is die ko-ordinate van die shell stasie waar n ou kan refill.

Well technically you are landing on a National road. Albeit the servitude...sheesh the guys have been doing that for years at Escourt Ultra city? Someone must have complained I guess.
Unless its a forced/precautionary landing you'd be liable for the same/similar fine on any other national road.

I am looking at doing a similar route in December, but just the opposite direction...

Ingwe to Volksrust
Volksrust to Howick
Howick to Munster (south of Margate with Vernon)

The journey from there goes further down the coast, then back inland and home via gariep and bloem...

Bundy, with yiu referencing Volksrust, do you know anyone at their field? It is one of the few places left on the list for december that I dont have any specific contacts...

Sounds like a lekker trip! Just plan many alternates...DEC = BIG CB's in the berg.

I have also wanted to do a KZN trip (Via the battlefields) for a while...but...nou ja, wat kan ons se?

Appreciate the input... one main backup is family and friends in a vehicle with a trailer...
The second is when planning a route, I usually take 2 bands on either side of my track 5 and 10 miles, and put every airfield I can find i that area on my map, and program all those into my gps...

I am not averse to turning and running... the idea of flying close to charlie bravos in a trike does not appeal... they are bad enough when you get close in a chopper...

When you do look at the battlefields trip, let us know... I for one would be interested...
