Who can recommend a quality 80’s rock band to play immediately after a 'soon to be announced' airshow?

This band would have to follow an awesome air display and entertain a mass of enthusiasts, fly in overnight pilots, display pilots, sponsors and supporters of good rock music and beer. (^^) (**)

Bwahaha....I dont think they have played an Iron Maiden cover in the last decade chom, not enough speed in the fingers anymore I'm sure...now those were the good old days! (!!) Feel real guilty that my bass is now a dusty ornament.

Leon, not sure what your budget is boet but GHAPI is a great cover band and will def be able to keep you jiving to the 80's....late into the night. (^^)
Phillip Botha and co, they have a website. :) One of the few singer/drummers around, Top quality show, can literally play anything. (!!)

Full session band's gonna cost you though! Best you be sitting down....

Lots of "one man" bands around at far less...the drunker you get the better they sound. (^^)

Look forward to the details.. (^^)

If you are an AVCOM member, get on there and contact GlenW.

He is a serious drummer and I am sure he is currently a band member. I went to some of his gigs years ago. Although the band members would have changed, they were really good at the time. Lots of rock covers etc

Thanks so far. Following up on all the leads.

Must be proficient with C.C.R, Stones, ZZ Top, Eagles e.t.c.Thin Lizzy, oldies, some Bad Co, Boston, Led Zeppelin maybe?

Must match the high standards set by the air display as well as generous sponsors, maybe some wind surfers, a bit of dancing/ shuffling but mostly the music critics in the beer garden, around the serious bon fire, braaiing, overnight campers talking aerries e.t.c.

Reserve the weekend of the 12th October.

Raising the bar.

Abbot and Crab is already booked.

I used to jol to them in the early 80's and they were awesome.

Anyone remember 'Blend' ? A great entertaining rock band, dressing and up and changing the lyrics.
"I am up up the pole" for 'I love Rock 'n Roll' e.t.c.
