Hi,
Completely new to the forum... Bought a microlight a week or two ago. It's been serviced and refurbished, but i can't find any info on it online other than whats in it's logbook.
So i wonder if anyone else has a little more information. What i know so far:
Built by Microlight Flight Systems
Model is Shadow Trainer
and it has a Rotax 503
Thanks in advance
Where can i find info??

Welcome to the forum, and congratulations on your purchase.
Is there any information in specific that you are looking for, or are you just looking to familiarise yourself with your new bird?

I know that MMW on this forum has an instructor rating, and experience with this type.
Maybe send him a PM for more info.

maddiver, what Shadow are you talking about ?
You get the more modern Shadow Trainer with enclosed cockpit and then you get the older Mac CDL/QuickSilver/Springbok type Shadow Trainer with a 503 belt driven prop. Last mentioned is a basic "lap en pyp" open cockpit construction.
If last mentioned, post a pic and I will have some info for you.

Re: Where can i find info??
P.S. According to Avdex, ZS-VOS was registered in 1986 and will most likely be one of these:
Indeed the "Lap and Pyp" version. Nothing wrong with them though. Great cabbage patch flyer. Flies at nothing more than 45 kts and chows hangar space. If you paid more than R 15K, you paid too much. Otherwise, check sail (Dacron) condition after all these years. Easy 3-axis flyer.
The 503 will most probably be a single ignition engine.
