RADIO TRAINING-TOMORROW !!! -23 FEB-KITTY HAWK

Hi All,
I am a microlight pilot . Do anybody know of any ATC that do radio procedure training for pilots. In this case VFR radio procedures. I have a Zillion questions that I want to ask.
If not. Any ATC out there that would be interested in putting something like this together? The coarse must include theory and then practical simulation. Say a whole Saturday.
Any pilots that would like to attend if such was available? IDEAS?
I also think that this must be presented by a ATC and not a pilot. Or at least both.
Ok Guys, its going to happen. Will be at Kitty Hawk. Fee will be R80 towards the Santjie White Search and Rescue Fund.

I think that most microlight pilots are familiar with uncontrolled airfield procedures.
Course content can include(PLEASE ADD)
VFR Flight LEVEL radio procedure.
good position reporting when not near prominent landmarks.
flying into controlled airports, no transponder.
Making contact with TOWER at controlled airports.
Terminologies to use (the correct ones!) miles to run?
Correct way to get clearance through pinedene east and west.
Flying in special rules west. Taking short cuts through Lanseria CTR.
So I fly into a Controlled Airport say Richards bay and park on the apron, when I leave, do i just start the motor or do I need a clearance to start the motor. What if I was parked at the hanger and want to start up.
And the list goes on.

I would love to attend this, it's a great idea!
FABA lapa is yours if you want it. Happy to accomodate you.
I'm sure Santjie White (Liewe Heksie) ATNS/SAR will be able to help find an ATC willing to chat...give her a shout?
Cheers,

Try Dylan Kemlo, ex ATC. He does our Radio courses at Rosslyn Microflyers at Kroon. o82 94o 6473. Excellent lecturer, also qualified to issue Radio certificates.

Rotors...you org the speaker, and I'll take care of the rest.
My suggestions...either 2nd or 9th March would be good. (no other events planned for then that I can see)
I'll ask Skyriders if we can borrow a few radios, FABA has a dedicated frequency (120.35) so we can use the Airfield frequency to practice? (without causing chaos elsewhere

)
Call me to discuss once you have someone lined up and we'll make a event happen chom ...072 823 two 3 4 one
The Rietfontein boyz are in good spirits with the Lanseria ATC's....give Thatch a call....there may be a willing volunteer from that side too? I leave it up to you Sir.
DBP standing by....

Hi Bundy, great thanks for the help and assistance. I phoned Santjie form your suggestion and she loves the idea and is giving it her full backing.
Santjie will arrange an ATC that she thinks is appropriate. Still all ideas and suggestions must come. Maybe more that one ATC? I agree with your time scales.
How many pilots can be accommodated at Microland. I will call you soon, thanks

.
So the ball is rolling.......
