As you guys are going the Crater way, you should go a little North via the Swamps. It should be amazing after this rain we had the last 2 days.

"Hey" Loco,

Phoned O.R. AFIS this morning and "mist...temp 7, dew pnt 7...broken cloud @ 200ft".... rolled over and went back to sleep. From Tuesday onwards it is looking good again. We can do the Crater, Pienaars/Moretele swamps and Rust De Winter when we are at Steves place. Fromhim it's an 80 nm round trip. 1.5 hour flight. (^^)

Morning

Myself,Tank and William(new guy at Crosswinds) went for a flip Sunday morning...Tank turned around at the Southern ridge due to radio issues

Myself and Wil went up until 10 miles before Kroon,it was completely covered in a blanket of white cloud/mist..actually looked beautiful as the entire North was covered ##

We did a 180 and routed to Carltonville for a breakie...was awesome vhpy

Check out the Microland thread. Depending on the weather, we are going, flying or driving. The last report is some cloud on Sunday.

I flew to Rhino Park this morning. Only one student waiting for Marius to arrive. No one flying? SRA E was also silent. Seriously thought my radio had packed up and was about to turn back when out of the blue (15 minutes into my flight) a Helocopter routing to MEV came on. I asked him for a radio check and carried on with my route. Almal het sekker braai babalas van gister.

hahaha sorry Louis! :)

I really want to come visit your place but I'm struggling to get the "Aquilla aircraft carier landing hook" mod report though the CAA...

What's the procedure for FALA ATC when I come to your place? Do I need to get clearance first via phone before-hand or can I just radio them when I come through Pinedene?
