But be warned...it is very addictive...

Welcome Phislett,
If you anything like the rest of us, your first trike ride will be a mind blowing, life changing, bank breaking addiction to the sky.
Give Marius a call...he is one of the best instructors around. (have to be nice to him because he is twice my size

)
Have fun

Hi & welcome
You will love it, triking is one of the safest and most enjoyable ways to fly

Hi Phislett, your question is a very valid one, I mean who in their right mind would go up in a garden chair, attached to a canvas wing pushed along by a lawn mower engine
Well, as you can see, many, many people.
I was one of those that went up for a flip at some airshow, and well the rest is history, I bought my plane whilst doing my training and after 10 years and 1 200 hours, I am still passionate about flying.
And yes they do glide, when doing introductory flips, I am often asked the question of what happens if the engine stops, well firstly they are extremely reliable, aviation specific engines, and if in the extremely unlikely event of the engine stopping, they glide well, and land at low airspeeds so any out landing will most probably at most be an inconvienience.
I am aware of the school at Groutville, and they are professional and you will be in good hands.
Enjoy, and remember, you will only have yourself to blame when the bug bites.
ps - there is no known antidote
