Thank you for posting! vhpy
John, I am glad you enjoyed it and thank you for posting the link for D20.

Over the span of more than 20 years making these models, I have found that Microlights are a rare breed in full or scale form. But once you see one in real life it is hard to let go.

My Story behind Microlights and Ultralights.
I fell in love with Hang gliders back in the late 70's when I was in high school and at the time, many guys would make their own and take off from beach cliffs or sand dunes.
As crazy as this was because some did not know anything about construction or aerodynamics, it was crazy fun!
Living in Chicago at the time, I did not have easy access to a beach cliff or sand dune, so the next best thing was to make a large scale model of one, to at least have some of the thrill in a nearby park.

Interestingly Bob Boucher (Astro Flight )USA Motors along wih Joe Utasi (JOMAR Electronics)also USA Speed Controls, donated the motor and speed control that made it possible for me to get the model in the air.
Read More about it here http://www.micro-flight.com/MIA%20RC%20 ... istory.htm

Today's technology has made it not only affordable but also possible to get a high performance scale model, as the ones I design and produce, in the air, by anyone who loves these types of aircraft.

I also fly the regular 1/4 scale airplanes fully covered, but I keep going back to the simpler and more sexier (in my book) look of ultralights and microlights.
I am currently working on a total custom full Quicksilver(Nylon Sails) model for a customer and on a mix of a Legal Eagle, Air Bike, Backyard Flyer, which I've thrown my own twist to it to make it more
fun and appealing. I will post photos as projects come together.

Other than my site, my you tube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCefEQg ... HVyphzjq-Q) and my facebook, I don't show these models often, so many people simply do not know I or the models I make exist.

John, I really appreciate you posting the link to my site. I wish more people would get into Microlights, in general, and so this has been a major reason for me
creating several kits in the microlight and ultralight categories, to promote Microlights and Ultralights, in general.

This video shows the smooth and aerobatic performance of the MIA Trike with the figure pilot before final detail refinements. It has mixed front and ground view footage.

This video is the latest at Dockweiler Beach -CA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhRklzDIpdQ
The Pilot has refined details and the trike was fitted with rear wheel fin spats which I found them to be slightly performance enhancing, but most of the real performance
comes from the wing design and the way it is attached to the controls. I have spent countless hours perfecting this for the MIA RC Microlights, as evident in my videos.
