Haha ek voel baie verlig dat van die erfare manne ook sukkel met van hierdie blerrie afkortings

I thought IT was hectic with all abbrev's but it's nothing compared to aviation :)

And if anybody can also please give me a link to where I can get more detailed information regarding all the FAD's and FAR's in SA, I have the Joburg Special Rules chart but it only tells me the name, altitude and frequency, would be nice to get more detailed info on them if possible

Cheers
Ant

TFC is an abreviation for traffic.

All aviation abreviations: http://www.casa.gov.au/scripts/nc.dll?W ... c=PC_93071

Comet Aviation Supplies keeps them. In fact, I've seen them at Wings & Things at Lanseria as well.

Google says "Tanganyika Flying Co."

Nah, just kidding . . . ok, so the online link is great, but not always available (online) when you most need it! :(

I have the attached an MS Excel file of Aviation Abbreviations (including weather abbreviations) which you can use on your smartphone for easy access if needed!

This is a compilation from MANY MANY sources and contains the Australian CASA List URL at the top (too much to add)!!!

You will find this list will cover 95% of your needs.

So, email file to self, then save on smartphone, for access if needed when behind the controls!! (^^)

AIP, from CAA, cheap enough, R400 for the complete up to date set, incl first years updates.
Amazes me how it is that pilots don't have them.
