Wow....

I built a small 1/72 scale model of the Flying Tiger P-40 sometime ago to just get the feel of scale models again. A bit of their history here .... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flying_Tigers

Am now 60% finished with the 1/48 version of a Spitfire Mk 14 (a beast fitted with the Merlin Griffon engine variant) The one clipping the V-1 buzz bomb :-) Some more here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supermarin ... ariants%29

This standing in Zimbabwe... (a couple of them around there apparently :shock: )

Spitfire Mk 22 sold to the Rhodesian Air Force and standing in a museum somewhere.... :(
