Hi Guys

Anybody still flying to Que Sera? What time do they open for breakfast?

Anything to watch out for when flying there?

Tanks
Piet

Moenie daar land nie.
Dit lyk uitdagend vir n trike. My advies is bly weg.

Hi Piet,

I'm afraid I must agree with Blue Max. I have checked out that "runway" and decided against a landing. Steep and tricky. Not worth bending your aerie for some bacon and eggs.

Your choice though...you are after all the PIC, and there are guys who fly there sometimes :)

Zynkraal is baie naby, het n mooi teerstrip en is vroeg oop vir ete. 8)

Can't vouch for it but someone told me there is another option on a dirt road at the back. Anyone know about it?

Very short strip, not a runway -A old road

Lovely breakfast they have at Que Sera, and I nice spot to go - On a MOTORBIKE which is actually who they serve (bikers) vhpy

If you want good breakfast fly-inn there is Kokeriba, Aeroden and Ntokoza croc farm and many others (^^)

What a pity that landing there is a no no

Went there with the bikes today and I must say what a lekka place, they serve a killer brekkie for R60

And one can sit for hours drooling at all the cool bikes coming & going

I see some photos on their website that trikes flew there in the past but then the 'runway' must have been in beter shape?

Huh? COS! [crock of shit!] ## ##

I fly into that "runway" on a regular basis and have brekkie with the bikers. I was there on this last Sunday. 23/12/12

Had a great chat to the bikers, etc etc.

The windsock has been shredded and they are looking for someone to donate a new one. Any takers?

They are open SAT and SUNDAY only. Just watch for cattle, and PM if you want their number.

I do all this in a Bantam, so wait-shits should be able to get in easily....... depending on whether you can fly......... or not.

Now that is awesome news!!! (^^) I'll ask some of the more experienced Rhino Park pilots to check out the runway & once I get the all clear it would be great to have a brekkie there

Flying skill and good judgement are fundamentally two different things Tony....the opinions of myself and others here is about risk not flying skill....I have no doubt that we could all get in there if we wanted to. Bottom line is there are lots of safer options very close by.

Love this part " so wait-shits should be able to get in easily" Good one Tony,I am sure if a repaired wing can land there,a wait shit can too ##

Haha..like my T-Shirt Says...."Trike flying ain't for sissies" but better safe than sorry...don't let your ego get the better of you,do a proper runway check, precautionary before putting down ##

If you feel it is unsafe and you not comfy..then don't do it,many other lekker chow at other more suitable airfields ##

A pilot saying:"if there is any doubt, there is no doubt, DON'T"

Just my 2c..use it,don't use it...it's free puff

(^^)

Relax guys, just yanking your chains.  Of course you need to do an inspection. Of course you need to fly within your personal and aircraft limitations. etc.

As for ZYN, beautiful, [I prefer to land on the dirt next to runway, parked aircraft permitting...] not on the tar. Same applies at Rhino and all the friendly spots that I regularly visit. Now and then I also have to lower my standards and fly with the delta-danglers to far flung places like Tedder,

So when we going to join up for brekkie ??? Any takers for tomorrow at 06h00?
