Greetings fellow aviators
As I am about to make a life altering step, I have every intention of starting my MPL early next year and was wondering what impact flying has on your monthly life insurance premiums. Did the fact the you were participating in a dangerous pass time, impact your premiums in a sever manner.
How did you go about informing your insurance company, in writing ...in person??
Look forward to all advice.
Regards
Brett

Hi Brett,
The short answer is yes it will definately increase. Mine nearly doubled when I started flying...and I had to move to a different Co as the one I had at the time simply refused to insure my life in a microlight, (The fact that a WCM is one of the safest aircraft to fly does not compute in the desk drivers brain I'm afraid)
I have also (now) contacted Resolution Life because although I'm currently insured for death with Liberty, they would not cover
disability at all

I'ts not very comforting flying every weekend knowing that if I crash I must do it properly
I hope to get a better offer from Resolution this week.

Have an aviation broker re-access your whole portfolio and chuck out the crappy retirement annueties and dinky life products and you might even pay less per month.
