Veld fires Limpopo

Veldfires Limpopo

Like to share some photos with you taken yesterday 06\08\12 of some raging veldfires in our area. The pictures were taken at different altitudes by the Cessna Spotter plane (Working on Fire) over Mabalingwe nature reserve.
This particular fire started near the Mabalingwe tower and was thought to be intentionally set….!  No proof yet but it will be investigated. Fire fighters worked from yesterday morning until last night fighting the fire. At one stage the wind was exceeding 40 knots but fortunately it was blowing against the fire which helped a great deal.
During the flight a radio call came in saying that a total of 19 fires were identified all over the Limpopo province and parts of Mpumalanga. The helicopter could not be despatched because he was busy fighting a fire in the Tzaneen area.
I have not yet heard about any casualties or property damage in our area. We normally have animal casualties and it is really heartbreaking to see some of the Zebra and Kudu that just couldn’t get away.
We all need to be extra careful this time of year.
Just thought I’d share it with you.

It is general knowledge that the fire's are started by the same group of people who sing the song 'Kill the boer kill the farmer..'
How can you expect the police to hunt down the arsonist and murderers when our goverment has legalise the song kill the boer kill the farmer..
