Second hand prices

I visit Mud Island a lot and if you look on the BMAA web site, there are some good buys in Second hand planes. To ship to SA is relatively inexpensive as more boxes leave the UK empty than full. I would imagine you could get thre trikes easily in a 20foot box. Thye mostly have low hours also...

Hi,
Thanks for the prices.
Pity that there are no performance figures for the Air Creation trikes. I scratched in their website, but besides the marketing

there is not a lot of specs, at least I could not find any.

This might be worthwhile investigating a bit closer, especially if a couple of trikes are imported. Into a 20' container, if properly packed, several trikes should fit in. This would result into substantial economics of scale.
Does anybody know if the secondhand trike prices are cyclical? This appears to be the case with secondhand motorbikes in Europe. If the weather turns k@k in autumn, the prices generally dip.

Evidence of the performance of the Clipper 912 and iXess combination is that it holds the highest international accolade of being the 2002 FAI World and European championship winner in the hands of Samir Elarl. 2002 British Champions Rob Grimwood and Chris Saysell chose the iXess for their 2003 campaign, which resulted in winning the 2003 British Championship, and a Silver medal at the World Microlight Championships. Retaining the iXess for 2004 resulted in another British Championship and the Gold medal at the European Microlight Championships in Portugal (all of the two-seat trike medals were won by iXess wings). Coupled to a specially-lightened Clipper trike fitted with an 80hp Rotax 912 engine, the machine has a calibrated 93mph top speed, around 400ft/min sink rate, and superb handling throughout the speed range.
