Gauteng Airfield - Fixed Wing LSA

Postby LenM » Sun Jun 24, 2012 5:06 pm

Hi guys

Moving up to Johannesburg (Parktown/Parkhurst) and want to move my Challenger up with me. Will still plan THAT trip and require some inputs please.
In the meantime, I'd like to get a feel for the different strips available around Jozi where I would be able to hanger...
Some names that I've come across:
-Kitty Hawk
-Tedderfield
-Panorama
-Microland
-Circus
-?

I realise I can't ask for a recommendation, but should anyone be able to send me some names I can go check out, it would be MUCH appreciated!!!

I'm hoping NOT too travel too far... but will go view all that you can recommend!

Moving in Sep 2012 and want to bring the aerie up in Feb 2013...

THANKS!!!
Len M

Kittyhawk and Microland too far from Parktown and too many stops, turns, robots etc. to get there. Will eat away your travelling time.
Panorama, Tedderfield, Kliprivier, Circus and Baragwanath are your other options. All within 35 - 45 mins drive straight down the highway
Airspeed, altitude, or brains....you always need at least two
