Really Need Help Please

Postby Zigzag » Mon Jun 18, 2012 2:50 pm

Hi Guys

I did post this under training but it seems not many people read that forum very often. :?
Is there anyone or any place close to the south coast where one can do microlight training? :?:
I am really battling to find someone down here and I find it strange as it is a lovely part of the world to take to the air. vhpy

Pleas help if you guys know someone or somewhere? :)

Hi ZZ...I presume you are talking about the south coast of KZN?

PM Paul Lintott (Zulu1). They are based futher up at Balito but there must be a school in the Margate area as well?

I'm sure he can assist with a contact....sorry I just dont know the area that well.

Good Luck.

The South Coast is the dead end of recreational aviation. There is more activity in the local cemetery at midnight than at Margate Airport on a weekend. Margate Light Plane Club is down to about 20 members. 2 years ago it was 60+.
Try Lite Flite Maritzburg.

Hi, may I recommend David Daniel, Ballito (Groutville) 0842663359. You will have to travel a bit though.
Also ask Vernon on this forum, he is from the South Coast.

Thanks for the responses guys, I really appreciate it.
HansH I think I'm inclined to agree with you on that one. I really though there would be more chaps down here than what there is.

Seems at this point I will have to travel North and spend a week at a time until I'm done. :(
Guys down here are big into their PPG (Powered Paragliding) more than anything else.

I will phone the guys up north and find out what will be the best way forward.

Thanks again chaps.
