AM needing to get a mount for my GPS (Garmin 96)
Anyone got one, or any other RAM mount - and are they sturdy and will they handle the vibrations of the trike, or will it fall apart. Basically, I am trying to avoid something that is "Made in Taiwan", (cheap and useless)

I use a RAM mount for my GPS96, iPod Nano and Handycam. I swear by them - very good quality and they have cradles & fittings for nearly any kind of application. Vibration was a problem on my Aquilla until I fitted an aluminium backing plate to my t-pod panel - no more problems.

I have a RAM mount for my Garmin V. I have used it on bikes and now in my plane. The best GPS mounts you can get without question.

I use online companies MobileCX and GPSZone for RAM fittings. Courier costs are expensive but you get your order in a couple of days. I did not get what I would consider an acceptable level of service from the SA agent.

Try

I have used them - download a picture from ram-mount.com (in USA) and email it to them and they will make up the configuration you need.
