Microlighters

The weekend of 18 - 20 May will be the last one where I am a resident of Microland. I pray for good weather so that I can fly most of the weekend, and do a proper "Goodbye" to my field, my instructors, my friends etc.

On Saturday, and Sunday I will be flying for the last time as a "Microlander."

The weekend after that I am moving to Polokwane. Leaving my trikes behind. Hopefully during the weekend of 9 June I will be able to fly the Cobra up to her new hangar @ Pietersburg Civil (thanks, Leon de Villiers!! ) Geel Kerneels - eish, I don't no what to do... )

In any event: I will be doing a "late breakfast / early lunch" at Microland on 19 May. Krummelpap, sous en skaapvleis. Please bring your own eating utensils. En jou eie Red-Heart en Coke - ek sal sorg vir 'n paar koue biere.

If the weather allows it - please come and fly with me on a round trip to Bronkhorstpruitdam and back just after sun-up, and then join me for some food and drink. And please - this is not limited to ML pilots: ANYBODY under the TMA: Please join.

I feel sad leaving my home-turf behind - but I look forward to my knew home as well! Please come and share my last circuits @ ML with me!

Leave GK at ML for now till you find space up North.... I will gladly give the plane a run every now and then for you and Oom David will be happy to fly him.

At least our friendship started from that same hanger almost 3 years ago - I was supposed to be your pax to Numbi.
And that day I started to learn one of many lessons from you. No pressure - if you do not feel comfortable - stay home.

I'll be back from Burkina Faso on 14 June for 3 weeks leave so may talk to you then.

Hi James! Saturday is not good for me either, but I might see you on Sunday if you at ML. If not, you cant leave without us all going for a publunch, or maybe even a braai at my place. Havent seen you guys since my oopsie at Lekoa Lodge By the way, have you seen how nicely DBP is comming on. Basicaly only waiting for a new wing now!

We'll take of around 06h30 - play around the Bapsfontein area, then I'm flying to Petit to leave my plane with Jenya for some wing-tuning. and Bugwar is lifting me back to Microland. Then I'll make krummelpap en sous, and then start the fire.

I have two skaapribbetjies, a kilo of wors and a case and a half of beer. Come have some!

Can anybody help me to change the colors on my proposed decal for my Cobra to Black with a Yellow background? Without repainting it in " MS Paint"?

Since it is a "she", and she scares me a bit, I think that her name will be "Witchy Woman", and she even has a theme-song! If you are clever enough let me know so I can send the full size image to you!

Dankie vir jou goeie wense oom Alex! Hopelik sal ons in die toekoms ontmoet daar in Potties of iewers oor die Springbokvlaktes. Marius het my vertel van jou ops - hoop jy is gou weer in die lug.

Oom Polla, (Blue Max) - daar sal nog baie ribbetjies wees in die toekoms. Die drie stigterslede van die VS is nou PRESIES gespasieer. Bugwar by Microland, Jy by Elandskamp, en ek op Pietersburg Civil. PRESIES 80 myl enige kant toe, met Elandskamp as die middelpunt.

Ek het nog "Die Chairman" hier by my - maar ek dink as ek op 9 Junie daar by jou oorslaap op Elandskamp oppad Pietersburg toe met my Heks, moet "Die Chairman" maar daar bly. Op die manier kan ons stigterslede mekaar so nou en dan raakvlieg by Elandskamp, en net by "Die Chairman" hoor of hy nog happy is met ons doen en late!

Dankie dat jy daar was - jy gaan my nou nooit weer sien by Microland nie, maar meer gereeld by Elands Quad Camp. Lekker "op track" vir Beginsel ook!
