Hi Tailwinds,
Being a rookie with limited nav experience , I would prefer to fly to Numbi with an experienced group. Any volunteers to assist, lead the way? I can join up with the group where required.........Looking forward to the event

Andries I might fly to Numbi either with the GT or Sling, but if you route FASC via FAMB Middelburg (about 60 -90 minutes) then just top up from your jerry can and hook up with several groups who stop for a fuel/ pee break from there.

Re: THE MICROLAND THREAD..."Home of the Tailwinds"
Hi Andries, there are a couple, 5, or more flying from FABA on Friday am. We plan to meet up, congregate, re-group at Middleburg. My feeling is, for safety, join a group, then they will look out for you and wait until all have arrived at the rendezvous point? You are most welcome to join us. Depending on the wx, we then plan to regroup at Kwena Dam or just head on to Numbi.
Hope your rig aint rocking as much as it is here in PTA this afternoon. 37 knt winds!

Re: THE MICROLAND THREAD..."Home of the Tailwinds"
Sounds like you are sorted Andries.
Well, today my crew and I will complete the last 400m2 of stage 1 of the 17000 we were contracted to do. Then I can have my weekends back. With the wekkas at the factory on strike I had to quickly re arrange things to go and complete and although I'm knackered I am glad I got to finally finish off. I dont anticipate the next stage happening anytime soon. Rediculous demands by unproductive wekkas will as usual deplete the maintenance budget so I'm sure I will be having a good break untill the next bit is requested.
I am taking Monday off...hoping for some stable post frontal conditions...but there's another mother of a front coming if I look at the synoptic chart. Paul has however made me trust Windguru which says it should be perfectly flyable.
Bundy needs a fix, miss my mistress too much.

Great Bundy, glad you are surfacing again. I might slip out there this afternoon, else tomorrow morning is also looking good. In Windguru I created a spot for Microland. Just go to "Spot Search" and type in Microland.Bundy wrote:Paul has however made me trust Windguru which says it should be perfectly flyable.
