Aerode is always a nice place to visit. Oom Basie and Linda is always ready with coffee as soon as you land. We are spoiled to have this area as our local flying space. The ridge at the dam can get a bit bumpy and cause the odd scary moment once in a while. It was great seeing so many trikes in the air today. The easter egg drop from Rhino park was lots of fun and for the first time we got to fly our trikes over Bronkies dam. It is time for a nice fly-in to either Rhino, Microland or Eagle Creek.

Weather looked bad towards Circus...so we just flew around the cabage patch for an hour or so. It was darkish and looked like it could rain anytime. ##

Myself and Tank routed to Circus,Tank had a pax,Alpha got flat, but still met us at Circus...it was an awesome flip there and back. ##

Had a breakie, left there around 09h30..started to drizzle, cleared as soon as we passed Tedderfield :mrgreen

Got some awesome footage of what thermals can do..I was on Tank's 7 o clock all the way thru good and mad turbulence ##

Well done Tailwinds,

Had a great flight with all of you on Fri, Harties is one awesome piece of aerial real estate. That Northern Ridge spreading horizon to horizon was really special.

Please accept my apologies for the no show on Sat morning

Personally.... I blame the Mexicans... ^

Had a nice afternoon  flight on Sat...ML all to myself and had great fun doing Forced lobs with noone else around. Grey skies but man it was smooth. (!!)

Circus is definately on my next destination list...thanks again boys!

Yes Piet we were "briefed" by the Rhino Horns who flew the same route a week before to watch out for the "washing machine" Funnily though I experienced almost no rock and roll over the main ridge but hell it was busy passing the southern ridges east of pelindaba! Lekker pap geroer  I had a nice wing drop coming back through Pinedene as I crossed the warehouses along the N1...some nice warm columbs of air rising off those massive steel rooves. Most of my time was spent dodging Pieters flippin propwash! I will admit to having been nervous of the Pinedene route (houses) but if you look, there are actually many emergency options avalable. Would like to fly to eagles creek...never been before. vhpy

Great fun (!!)... and was really nice to fly over different scenery for a change. vhpy

Great shots of the cosmos Paul! Send me the co-ords please, I'd like to go show Softness.
But I'm not surprised you could smell the flowers...YOU WERE FLYING 10mm ABOVE THEM!! (**)

My plane's been higher off the ground sitting on a trailer than that 3rd pic of yours

Slangetjie... if Mulder washes his wing once a year or so he will get more lift? All that dust is weighing AMH down!

Here's how Fri night went for Bundy!

Not my plane  One of the rotten forgotten wrecks in the hangar next to Faiz. Maybe the guy wants to sell it and asked Johannes to wash it. One thing is for sure, he wont get any UV damage, the UV cant get to the sail. (**)

The Cosmos is best South West of Delmas. I just flew around looking for large patches of pink/white. The air was super smooth. Also did a fly-by / inspection first to make sure there are no wires crossing the patches. From previous trips the following were good spots: S26.032045 E28.66122, S26.28886 E28.67014. The photies were taken at S26.23645 E28.59892. But I would like to do this again...the flowers are still going to be around for a while.

Damit. ## Heard from Faizal it belonged to Johan in the hangar behind Han's workshop...near the gate. ##

Now I will have to remove all valubels every time I park her in the hangar. ##
