How to stiffen the front wheel on my raptor?

Hi All

I am wanting to know how I can make my front more stiff I don't enjoy having such a free moving front wheel? I I tighten the top bolt would that work?

Hi Vatso,

Tightening the top bolt will have no effect but to bend the square tube, not desirable! Best is to fit a steering damper! You can get it at any bike shop. It allows for full movement, but as soon as the wheel would want to "wobble" or turn very quickly, it would "dampen" the movement.

Once again, these are not cheap, but what are cheap in aviation!?

Hi Mark,

How's the washing, wife still X with us!?

One end to the "Root" tube where the pax foot rests are and the other obviously to the wheel frame. The thing with bungee cords is that they can come off at anytime, and what happens when it goes through something that turns, like a PROP!?

Hi guys i,ve got a pep steering damper that i used on my race quad still brand new it,s the best one you can buy for a quad it cost me R6500 new and is still in new condition only used it once on my quad then took it off coz in racing you need too turn very quick and the damper was too stiff but on a trike you dont wane turn the wheel quick when taxing so it will work fine trust me and its fully adjustable up for graps R2000 if someone is interested call Andre on 078 459 5619 or mail me on andrebotha23@yahoo.com

Thanks I have an idea of how I am going to fix the problem I am going to use bungee cord & loop it around the goose neck & steering but will tie it so that it can't come loose I will see if it interferes with any controls? if it does not work will def look at the damper
