Hi All,

Is anyone aware of airfields or private landing strips for a trike in the Rust De Winter area?

We are planning to go there for the easter weekend and just thought it might be a nice flight there from Panorama.

Thanks,

H

Net so entjie noord van Rust de Winter -in Potgietersrus-is 'n runway met hanger spasie.

By Rust de Winter is wel so paar privaat runways.

Those are indeed the strips I know of too.... one thing though, I was told there is a gate in the middle of one of these strips?? (**) Not 100% sure, as I have never landed at any of them.
Better just make sure before you go

PS, just remember that if you visit TC at Ntokozo.... you wont want to leave!!! (^^) Lekker plek daai, die geselskap is warm en die bier is koud(!!)

Enjoy your weekend puff

Elands Quads en Microlights is so 28 NM anderkant Rus de winter.
Die ko-ordinators is op my avator.
Die runway is so sag soos n babatjie se boud.!
Dit is tussen Potties en Rus de winter.
Waarom sukkel jy.
Stuur mammie met die motor en jy kom met die trike. Ons het wonderlike akkomodasie vir n gesin by ons. En hanger spasie vir jou rtike.
Groetnis.

Like said above, there is a few fields in the area. I am just outside the north-western corner of the GF2. You're welcome to land here, but phone first to point out possible obstacles. I am also friends with the other guys and can give you their phone numbers. I am 14 kms west/south-west, of the dam, Eben about 12kms, but I do'nt think he will allow landings. Peter is closest at about 4kms north of the dam. I landed there recently, and the fence across the runway was removed.

Regards.
