124,2 Durban special rules

Postby ZULU1 » Sat Feb 25, 2012 12:35 pm

Brett brought the subject up recently about 124,8 and radio congestion on the coast, now its even worse. A perfect morning like today and every man and his dog in the air. Eish, it was ridiculous. Light flight calling a complete circuit and it was impossible to do a sensible position report with Jet Rangers and the like bombing down the coast.

What do we have to do on the East Coast to either

A. Give the inland strips their own frequency and use it for teaching students radio work. I have no whinge about the radio work, its between iSithebe, uMkomaas and Light Flight...

or

B Get some sensibility about the use of 124,2 ?

I just came home and called it a day this morning, I am sure the BMC chaps were the same after they came back to 124,2 after talking to FALE

Its actually easier to do a jolly flight on 118,45 as FALE have discipline....

If it doesnt get sorted somebody is going to fly into someone else...

Brett is good at this kind of thing and we do need some help to anybody who listens...
Centrifugal force in pure Physics does not exist, however this does not apply to Taxi drivers..
