The industry has been asked to inform their various members of the flight restrictions around the ANC Birthday celebrations.
Most organisations have waited for full details so they can correctly inform their members and thus the industry.
Once the full details are available AeCSA will give more info.

Dick Bradley represented AeCSA at the meeting as he also runs a full time gliding operation in the area. His feedback was very positive.

A Notam is to be circulated. It had not been published this morning but should be available in the near future.

This follows the meetings held at New Tempe Airfield with the various local stakeholders - the CAA, AeCSA and others.
The meeting was held in a spirit of compromise with all stakeholders working together. There will be limited disruption to operations and recreational aviation.

Unfortunately No state secrets were divulged

As soon as the final procedures and methods of compliance etc (as with the FIFA World Cup) are published, AeCSA along with all bodies will circulate this.
The Notam will be published on the CAA website as well.
There will be a restricted area and a no fly zone directly around the ANC's venue.
The Notam will make this clear.

Local operators will continue their operations with marginal interference. There will be inspections of flight permissions at airfields in the area etc.
Have a wonderful Christmas and New year. Safe flying

NB The Aero Club's new Fundi CRM system is sending out renewal notices - we are looking forward to having our new system capture your details and allowing you to make payment of your membership fees as seemless as possible.

Yours in preserving free flight.
