Fire proof flight suit

Postby abezzi » Thu Dec 01, 2011 7:32 pm

I received a pm saying that someone post something on this section about fire proof flight suits, but I cannot find it anymore. Anyway if someone is interested I personally kow the guy, sort of, and you can find more info here

The big problem is the shipment cost, unless we don't find few people to share the cost is gonna be too expensive!
before I forget...the flight suits are MADE in ITALY, not cheap chinese stuff!

To be quite honest, I have been giving him a hard time. In today's times, one CANNOT trust a first time poster without references. As mentioned, the suites look good but WAY OUT at Euro 200, plus vat, plus shipping. I suggested get a reputable distributor!

Secondly, the company is closing down or is closed, what with the consumer protection act protecting the consumer and trying to sell at that price. With a seriously cash strapped recreational market, I'd much rather support local and know that if something is wrong with it, I can return the product! Sorry...

First of all...I'll write to federico and tell him that he is stupid...I was quite busy lately but I don't understand why he didn't tell me about his post...
Second, in Italy there is not something like the consumer act law, or whatever is called, so if you buy something from a private person is your problem you accept the risk...
third, I believe is not polite to write something in a language that the other guy will never understand, you know it's like to be a bullish guy with someone smaller and younger, hope you understand what I mean...
And to finish, nobody is forcing you to buy this product, you go and buy a local product, if you find one...like you do for your garmin, iPad, Rolex watch eccetera!
I forgot...he cannot find a local distributor because his selling the few items left as private, not as a shop!

1. I respect your post .... however sir and without any intended disrespect... we are is SA now and this is a SA forum with SA pilots that I am in a certain sense accountable to.

2. Your point is well made that it is the person's own risk if he buys it or not - hence it is my right or prerogative to caution persons wanting to buy, especially if not known - especially if those persons are friends and fellow aviators - not so?

3. Amazing tool Google Translate is, however not always grammatically correct.... Sarebbe uno dei mods gentilmente rimuovere questo poster ... Egli è ignorante per i nostri metodi, e questo sarà solo persistono... so, in your mother tongue this may sound incorrect - hope you understand what I mean

4. If this may be the case, advertise it on e-Bay as he may have a larger market he can target... or better still, why don't you bring the flight suites over?

John, thanks for your reply, please understand that I fully agree with you, he made a wrong post, in the wrong section and his attitude was even worst when, instead to understand your point he continues to reply...I was only answering at your issues regarding the "moral point" of trying to sell something via the web. I can confirm that he is a respectable person and is trying to sell his stock and helping fellows pilots to save some bucks, unfortunately, like I wrote on my first post, the shipment fees are too expensive to think to buy the suits!
I'm not interested to bring the suits here by myself, I just tried, as you can see from my first post regarding the suits on the gyro section, to help fellows pilots, like I always did in the past and continue to do in the future.
Likely, or maybe not, I don't need to use that stupid Google translator, I prefer to make spelling mistakes by myself!
Please consider this issue closed, and feel free to block this post as you wish, thanks again for your understanding, ciao Aldo
P.S. By the way I send him a pm thanking him for what he did and for another way he showed the World how some Italians act! Likely I moved from Italy some time ago, and this attitudes are always pissed me off... ##
