I love the ranting on AVCOM! I find it very entertaining when there is nothing on TV on a Sunday afternoon.

Asterix my mate, all you have to do is go and get popcorn and a large coke, park off and hit the refresh button every few minutes. Watching The drama's unfold is always an interesting and very amusing pastime. - I still maintain the fastest fight ever to develop on Avcom took 4 postings and had to do with ladies in aviation... well you can imagine, four posts in the okes were moering each other... sit back and laugh....

see ya soon old boy vhpy

Some real F$@#ing dickheads having a go at each other.

I am guessing that even if CC had all the paperwork and a proper aerobatic plane, that some people would still be wanting to kick him off because he gets attention at airshows. Its sad

At least we have CC Cocker....i mean Focker

What a bunch of chops.
This is exactly why my post count on Avcom is so low.
(rant on) I refuse to get involved there where the forum seems to be largely populated by childish little w@n&ers, each wanting to puff out his chest and tell the world what a good pilot he is and pounce on those they deem to be a cowboy. Page after page of drivel! (rant off)
Knowing CC well I can only say that he definitely does not like to conform to what he sees as needless over regulation, to the extent that he makes life hard for himself! He will not hesitate to speak out if he thinks it is called for.
Having got that off my chest I will add that CC is one of the few pilots I know that REALLY understands flight, the vast majority of the rest are just car drivers exploring another dimension of transport. :x

Had a look at some of the CC's airshows on YouTube maybe its just me but It didn't look that bad :?

Don't think politics and aviation should go together

Agree on the other site being entertaining but it always tends to end up in a pissing contest (**)

Politics guys.... politics....

I have seen many of "Captain Chaos's" displays and I find them to be very well planned and executed. I think there are a few "small man syndrome" PIC's on the regular Airshow schedule who are just feeling a little left out.

Sad really, because in order to remove the source of their disdain they resort to all sorts of underhanded tactics and burecractic BS... including the "Safety Factor". If you think about it... ALL airshows and related displays carry associated risks, (just look at Reno... RIP) I have never seen a Pocock display that made me feel that he was really pushing the limits of safety any more than the rest?

I have seen planes landing on a car platform 20m from the crowd line...? Is this safe? Paratroopers being dropped in a 25knt cross wind and landing 500m away from their DZ with injuries? Come on....?

It is the fact that CC understands and has learnt to master the exact limits of his trade that make his displays so good! He is an excellent pilot whose skills most of us could only wish to attain one day....

I for one will miss the "BOOOM"
