It definitely seems to go in cycles. I don’t think that its necessarily that the pilots don’t have the money for the fuel but the mindset seems to be "bunker down until confidence in the economy improves". Times are tight so I’m not allowed to have fun. The airfields are full of hangers with aeries that don’t fly :) but they still pay hangerage.

LSA pilots are very social creatures and love to fly with their mates and when their mates stop flying as frequently then the apathy (spelling?) spreads.......... Many of these pilots only get into flying because its social and when that stops then they disappear. ($$) ($$) My airfield also went through a stage that I was the only one out there on a Saturday morning (it has changed) but that is no fun so I stopped going .....

Currently im planeless but looking ......

Coyote

I can understand what you are saying. Flying alone is ok the first couple of times but it really gets to be Lonely even with the music in the Ears.
Just to have another craft close by helps sharing the experiance.
Like buzzing around a Balloon. You just need to have somebody to share the Fun / Camaraderie between friends.

Alpha,
I was thinking the same, where is Thatch and BBM :?: ...... they are rather quite...... Prehaps they are resting up for the weekend because you have to realise they are not as young as they used to be. ($$). ....... or do you think this is just the quite before the storm...:?: ..... (^^)
