Theft of Equipment at Panorama Airfield

Morning all Pationate Flyers
It is with regret to inform all members that, my day yesterday Sunday 14 August 2011 around lunchtime at Panorama, after training, was shattered by the finding out my car had been viciously vandalized by some, as one member voiced, "Vertically Challenged Primate", had literally attacked my car parked on the side by the Training hanger, with some heavy object, and tore away the passenger side front and back windows.
Everything was removed from the car.
These items were all in my flight equipment bag, which was my Garmin 496, Garmin IQue m5/GPs Palm top computer, David Clark HS10-13.4 headset and flight bag, with all my flight maps, tutorial papers for LSA training, and other necessary tools for which we keep in our bags when we do preflight checks, and my cell phones iPhone 4, and Icom A6 radio, and other small items, which you accumulate over time.
I would think that this equipment will surface at some point for second hand resale.
At this point I would hope that all caring pilots would think a second time before buying these items, and notify me of it resale.
All these items plus serial numbers have been reported to the somewhat non-caring SAPS at Mondeor Police station, whom did not find this important enough to arrive at the airfield when the deed was reported to them .
Please all, should you find that these items are appearing on the second hand market , please give a call. I will take the necessary action which may include the help of the authorities.
Now, what is going to happen to the security at Panorama? Yesterday afternoon it was suggested at the field that the front gate be kept locked at all times and all members drive around to the gate nearest Stan's hanger? Any other suggestions?
kindest regards
Andy Peace
