Hi to all fellow micro-lighters!
This will be my first post and i am sad to say it is not a happy one.
I recently purchased 2 helmets from buzzcom and without dragging it out to much there were a couple of problems
Firstly the helmets were late and i understand if there were problems, but i drove out three times for nothing after confirming collection the previous day.
When i eventually received the helmets they were not complete , the bibs which i ordered with the helmets were not there.
When i asked about the bibs i was told that he had mistakenly given them to sum-one and that he would get new bibs mad up,and this happened twice with him giving it mistakenly to another party. Anyway 3 weeks later , STILL no bibs so i contacted mr buzzcom and when got upset with the sh-t service he told me that it was the matter of payment for the bibs. NOW after a month!!!!!!! R300.00 cum-on
Well i have 2 buzzcom systems up for grabs + 2 helmets (upgrading on service)

Thanks Chaps, I have to defend other manufacturers though, we all are at the mercy of overseas suppliers. Most have a MOQ requirement and this can be restrictive in service delivery. As an example the Nomad series uses Binder plugs and these we source globally as and when they are available. As an example Conrads cable and plug is sitting at customs as we had literally to scour the globe for them. Our chatterbox series is almost 90% local so we can offer a fast turnaround. Most materials are used by Toyota suppliers in Durban and it was designed as such from the outset. We imported a chipset for a Bluetooth module and this ran out after the first few sets made. They wanted 3,000 pieces at a ridiculous inventory cost. So this nails cash flow.
I am sure this gives an idea of our daily challenges..

Ja Paul, but you said what you would do, and then did what you said.
Parts will be there by Friday - and they were. Otherguys - it will take about a week - 3 weeks later not done - excuses I'm busy training, you did not phone first and so on.
That's the difference.
