Chicks at La Mercy

Postby Fairy Flycatcher » Sat Mar 11, 2006 7:28 pm

Our beatiful big tree over the kitchen has died    . Some of the weaver nest were built on mere twigs, and a couple of the nests fell down   . A couple of the chicks were old enough to be fed on the ground, some of the chicks died, and one little one (about 2 days old) survived.

His home became the solo hat (which is a prop-cone with a microlight mounted on it - photo soon)

Hopefully he will have his solo party soon - and will justify his solo hat house  :D :D :D

I only took this photo a couple of days later, after we had removed all the birdlice and knew he would be OK.

Frigging amazing FF. He could not have dreamt to find a better place to fall out of a nest and still have so many instuctors to teach him to fly :D :D :D

Do I see a ring on his leg?

RH, that looks more like one of his claws than a ring, but I also initially saw it as such

OK Morpheus I see now that I will HAVE to wear my specs as per my licence. My eyes are getting a tad old and blurry. Until I hit sufficient turbulence though. Then they go round like saucers and I see evrything

Yup, have the same problem, but I swear blind that my arms are just too short.
