I sold a plane in 2002 Signed all the papers with the new owners and duly handed over the registration certificate, log book etc.etc.
Was later told the new owner slightly "bent" the plane on a hard landing and it will be some time before it will fly again
Well, it seems its flying again as I got an Authority to Fly in the mail recently from CAA, addressed to me, for my old plane which I had sold! The register also shows its still in my name
I would assume the new/new/new owner/s hadn't bothered to submit their paperwork and has just left it on my name
Any suggestions as to what to do

CAA will have a file on the aircraft and the renewal papers should be within it. The AP that signed it off will be on the paperwork - contact him and locate them that way. Easy to just inform CAA but probably worth it in the long run to get hold of the new owners and let CAA know. Call Andre Swanepoel at CAA on 011 545 1000.
