AERODEN Weather Station

Morning all - Im posting this on behalf of Neale, (one of our aeroden regular fliers) who would like me to let you know about an EXCITING DEVELOPMENT at Aeroden. Within the next two weeks or so we will be launching the new Weather station. Once launched, anyone with the number (to be provided/published asap) will be able to SMS the number and recieve the following information back. "Wind speed, Wind direction, Humidity, Temperature and Barometric Pressure." - this should make it far easier for pilots to determine whether (no pun intended) its suitable to either fly from or fly to Aeroden. Another nice feature is that flying anywhere that Aeroden is on route, one will be able to determine the condidtions at the Northern ridge.

We think its a fantastic idea as lads from anywhere can use it more specifically, Kroon, Brits, FAAP, Crosswinds, Orient, RBurg, etc. An easy way of finding out the conditions either on route to or your destination, or at Aeroden. ??

How does that sound. ??

Thats great - Nothing to be "in" on though as its going ahead and whats lekker is that no one has to lay out any cash.... (except neale) - all you have to do to make it work is USE it... should be very very convenient and give us an accurate indication of the conditions. Imagine you sms when leaving zebula, you know exactly what your flying into - -

hey thanks for a lekket fly inn on saturday chap...

To be honest i cant wait - the airfield for me is a long (pleasant) 50 kms and its a Ballache getting there to find the wind howling - I call it the flag run but between my house an harties are several "strategically" positioned flags which i study during the drive... !!! now i can roll over at 5.30 and make a serious decision (ha ha ha) - fly or shag!!!
