Check out the Ballito Flying Club web page. I believe there is an operation there.

Yes, there is a guy operating on the North Coast, had a long chat to him a couple of weeks ago, and was in awe of his tenacity. This was red tape at its best, with the only way to become legal was to get a comm licence, and then spend 50 hours with a crop sprayng instructor in the back of the trike.
This guy has done it right in terms of equipment, and his Aquilla is equipped with a 912S, and the spraying equipment is worth in the order of R100 000, so yes it is possible, but not easy.
He was teling me that the work is available, but the barriers to become legal are the biggest stumbling block to more people not doing it.

Can also get hold of Fanie Keyser from the CAA for the legal side.
Don't have his contacts but says it can be quite lucrative.

Ant and Rob Weaver, they fly a hybrid Windlass 912s (18 square metre wing) cross Aquilla with a huge chemical tank micro mist spray heads, and a large pump system. It has a Mode S Transponder, GPS and all the other kit. Used in steep hills and areas where big crop dusters don't work. Donovan is correct Ant has a full comm licence and is rated now on several types. Thay are a full air service unit. He flies in the direct area of King Shaka and has a very good relationship with all concerned. His phone number is zero, seven six, 60 four, four 306.
They are very helpful. But its a long road to get that exercise sorted...

Dear Zim Zulu
We (Aerossa) can supply the cropspraying kit for Aquilla trike. It cosists 120 L tank, 4 sprayers, 2 pumps, 2 beams, all switches, valves, regulators, hoses and wirings, all brackets to install the system to the trike. The installation is very quick and easy. You don't need to drill any holes in your existing trike, not neccessary even to take the passenger seat and saddle bags from the plane. Sometimes landowner wants to show you the fields from the air. Some pictures are attached.
For more info please contact us:
jenya@aerossa.co.za or cell 082 853 8239
Best regrads,
Jenya.
