So after months of being plagued by flat tyres, i decided to take the plunge an upgrade the bantam wheels and brakes... a BIG thank you to Andrew Pappas from Micro Aviation for the fast and efficent way he handled my order, Called him Monday, wheels in stock (thankfully), waiting for tyres which arrived tues, ordered kit on tuesday, shipped on wednesday and I recieve my parcel from Berco Express a little later today... soooo Dishes Duck will soon be sporting new set of tekkies and rims.... awesome.... !!!! Thanks Andrew!!!

Next question - have any of the bantamites installed the kit before ( ie done the upgrade themselves) - Andrew says there is a detailed pack of instructions but i cant imagine that its a big job?? does anyone know or has anyone done it?? - failing that does anyone know who can install them for me/with me??

have a dikwiel day <*> <*> <*>

Hi Bantam Dikwiel

First, please make sure you have a copy of the CAA modification approval for the change of the tyres on your Bantam as this is not a standard braking system. Secondly, you will need to get an AP to do the mod for you and sign it out in your aircraft airframe logbook as this is not work that an owner can do on his own aircraft.

I don't know which area you are in so I unfortunately am not able to give you an AP in the area which may be able to help you.

Hope this helps.

Regards
