Hi All
Ok so I have been trying to save enough money to by my own 2 seat gyro and and almost there, but I have been watching the classifieds and there seems to be a great number of damn nice fixed wing machines available for damn good prices at the moment. Now I love my gyros and could never give them up but am becoming ever increasingly tempted to stray to the dark side and get either my PPL or RPL.
Scenario 1 - By and purchase a fixed wing, preferably a tail dragger and do my licence and look at selling it on before I head back at the end of the year.
Or maybe there is also someone else who might be interested in a partnership in a good fixed wing as well and dosnt have enough cash up front right now and could do with a short term partner to help them out.
Scenario 2 - If there is someone who's looking to get into the world gyros and dosnt have the cash for a machine of there own and can come up with R100,000 + - then maybe I have a deal for you. You could purchase a share in a gyro and do your training at a greatly reduced cost (R650.00 p/h), the only additional cost will be for insurance. I am willing to cover the costs of servicing, ATF etc. During the next 8-10 months I would payout your initial investment and purchase the gyro outright or if you prefer you can also purchase the remainder of the gyro from me. So in essence for a R100,000 investment you can get your gyro licence for probably 55-60% of the normal rate, not a bad R15,000+ - return, for a R100,000 short term investment. Only condition is if you are an abinitio pilot your training must be done at 303 Sqn at Brakpan.
So what do I do?? I have to admit both have there appeal, if anyone is interested then send me a PM and maybe we can work something out.
Cheers
Darren
