Desperate for help. Setting up Icom A210 Radio

Postby vernon11 » Tue Feb 22, 2011 11:18 am

PLEASE folks, is there anyone out there that can help me? I have tried all possible. The next thing is to burn the bl@#%y piece of rubbish. I fly for fun, but have had to abort several flights now.
If you have experience with th A210, please let me have a phone nomber where I can contact you. Preferably a land line that I can make contact after 7PM as it will obviously be a lengthy call. If not after 7PM, it is not seriousThanks a million in advance.

RTFM

Ignore all the fancy functions. All you will end up using is programming, selecting a channel and PTT.

Thanks Piet,
I have been in contact with him. He has sent me some stuff to sort my headsets. He is away at Swaziland til next week, so am unable to speak to him about the radio. If not sorted by then, I will contact him.
Cheers,
Vernon.

You have lost a kid.
I am sure sooner or later I might have some joy. Friday I am going down the coast to Bernard in the Transkie. Have to drive, because of the radio.

Thanks for the response folks.
Boet put me onto Hennie Roets, with RV4ker supplying me the ph. no. Tomorrow I will be sending the radio off to him to have it checked out. he feels it could be the arial. Will wait and see.

I got the radio back today from Hennie Roets of Rotomag. All is 100% plus the rest. As he suspected it was the aerial instilation. Sorted that and alls fine.
Boet, RV4ker and everyone else who assisted. Many thanks.
A very happy
