Okay so I have had all the work completed on my gyro, change of ownership completed and now just need the ATF, I see one of the requirements is I need a radio licence. I have been reading both here and Acom and there seems to be a few problems being experienced with ICASA. My question is, if I fill in the ICASA paperwork go to the post office and pay all the required fees and then send/deliver all the paperwork to ICASA, is the proof of payment I recieved from the post office going to be enough to forfil the requirement for the issue of the ATF by RAASA?? If not any help in the right direction greatly appreciated.

Yes.Do it electronically from the comfort of your PC...

I used BFN office since I got ZERo co-operation from the folks at the FARM. (Pine something farm is the address in Jhb)

Fill in the attached form (pdf that you can edit)
Pay R380 + R50 into ICASA
Nedbank
Br Code 14624500
Account 1462002927
Ref 00-700-000-0.

Fax copy of all of it to 051 447 3099 then fone Deon at ICASA in Bfn 051 411 5900 to confirm receipt. Once processed they will give you a license number and use that as Ref. I paid the full R48 with reg as ref to speed the thing up but they "don't like that"....

Got my license number in 2 days and license 3 weeks later. Jhb I am still waiting for last years license . I used a NW address so that they did not refer me back to Jhb.

You pay the R380 +R50 with Ref 00-700-000-0 allocation 0026 (see attached invoice you can take to SAPO or do online). Then they issue you with a license number which you use as a ref for the annual payment of R48 (mine was pro rata to R32 for last year). Keep a copy of the Proof of payment until the RSL arrives.

if you in a hurry, pay the initial R380+50 (if transfer or R380 only if new) + R48 using your Reg (if you have one) or your name as ref. All CAA is looking for is proof of the R48 for the year.

Alternatively remove your radio from your gyro (for the period while registering) and ask why you need a RSL

They will then issue me with a licence number, once I have that number I can use it to pay the annual licence fee to ICASA (at Nedbank). Keep a copy of the proof of payment and then head off to RAASA for the ATF.

Have to ask????? Whats an Aussie doing in Saath Afreeca? I always thought that the movement was the other way round Am back on the Forum now with a grin, wondering how long it will be b4 I start getting bluxum I think it may be spelt blixam but I'm a sotie so I have an excuse when the headbanging starts

No
SAPO will just give you a receipt. Icasa will (eventually) issue license. That why I rekon just pay all of it into the ICASA (nedbank) account from home and take the proof of payment to CAA.

Fill it in, do the payment online, attach proof of payment and e-mailed it to Icasa - details on website. Got my lisence last week, applied in September, but proof of payment and filled in form was good enough for RAASA.

Hi All

Thanks everyone for the info and feedback. Just one question in regard to the R48 annual licence fee, is there an additional form for this payment or do I just pay the money into the Nedbank account for ICASA and as RV4Ker has suggested just use my Reg as a reference?

Update
I hear it R12 for 3 months and then there will be new "fees" from March. All you need is a receipt.
