I am guessing that this is the build project that he was talking about a little while back.

Well, I stood right next to your project this afternoon after making a trip to Glyn and collecting a power plant for Q-Mate. Turns out I know the chap whose hangar it is standing in! We are both ex-Kimberley chaps :)

At first I thought it was a Pietenpol.....

A cardinal sin to confuse a RV with a Pietenpol... bet that went down well! ##

Anyway, there is a chap in Oudtshoorn that has a Pietenpol powered by a Toyota 2.0 diesel engine. Maybe worth your while to give him a call... Coenie Otto (he used to work for Atlas Aircraft Corp and is rather knowledgeable iro.) :)
