Guess you guy's would be more interested in the little motor than the big one... :D
Quick fill in, we are busy setting up our own foundry up in Jhb and we should be up and running in a month's time.
Will post a detailed description of the little motor latter on. going to get clobbered big time in the office for spending too much time on line !!

Wow, sounds awesome,
if I replace my 503 with the 155hp on my Challenger II Clipped Wing Special, I'll be able to launch instead of just take off

Hi G
Thanx for the welcome.... :D
OK what is your current estimated date for engine fitment...???
On the motor the 120 is de-rated from the 130.....bits and bobs inside the motor..

Hi Papa-G
Big welcome (to you and your Proudly SA Company) :D :D :D
How many motors do you have flying at the moment? Max hours?
Are WHL going to use your motor or are they just (BIG just!) assisting with certification?
Any plans for a less than 120Hp motor or are you only gunning for the 912 market??

Hi Griffin,
Again thanx for the welcome.... :D
The "little" motor is a project of big brother, the 320 hp 120 deg V6 that we are in final stage of construction.
On the "little" motor as is with the "big" motor we are busy finalising our foundry to get Block and Head castings.
Once we have machined and assembled and run the "big" motor on our dyno we will push to get the "little" motor ready for testing - this has to happen before the end of July this year (lotsa pressure from a good group of guy's !!)
Less than 115/120 hp.....hmmm we havent looked at that side of the market, as it is quite heavilly supplied by a number of mfg's
Keep in mind we have gone for state of the art technology (coil on plug, narrow valve angles, fuel injection etc) and in the lower end market we would be just too expensive to compete against the existing motors out there........that said it wouldn't be difficult for us to design a light weight twin that could easily push out 80 hp... :D
On the certification side, We have a nice agreement with Westand Helicopters that will help us latter on with certification to EASA
Anyway, off to Jhb for the next few weeks to do work at the foundry....catch you latter.. :D

Welcome and good luck - always good to have people motivated and interested enough to take on the market.. Wish you all best, my next project might just fit quite nicely up against 120 "little" ponies
