Can anybody help us to get some contact details of him.
He sold a Bushbaby (ZU BAA) to a Danie Vosloo from Jeffreysbay.
Subsequently Vosloo sold it to Etienne Victor from Ellisras but without change of ownership from Plessis van Der Merweas he never changed ownership to himself.
We need Plessis to sign a change of ownership as Vosloo is doing nothing about it. Etienne bought the aircraft over a year ago and can't use it due to Vosloo not being of any help.
Etienne is paying hangerage and insurance and can't fly the Bushbaby.
please help him

I'll say this quietly....you don't need the sellers signature anywhere on the CAR47A form

Why can't he fly it? I would sign the ATF docs on behalf of owner as agent and submit to get the aerie in the air, then get CAA or RAASA helpt to contact Plessis.

I flew the Albat for 3 years while the "seller" battled to get all the trust signatories to sign CAR47A transferring ownership.

PS
Morph
I think you have to have the previous owners signature transferring ownership to you. I had a hell of a time even after we got court "assistance" at CAA
Application for registration of change of ownership and notification of transfer of right of possession of aircraft:
complete pages 2, 3, 8 and 9.

Section 9 requires
I, the undersigned
(full name of director / member / trustee / person authorised* to act on behalf of the registered owner)
hereby declare that the above particulars are true in every respect and certify that I have
provided the transferee with the following documents:
IIRC they also want certified copies of the buyer and seller ID's?

Best bet is to contact the CAA and ask them to give you the last know contact details of the owner of aircraft XYZ...

RSL in old owners name is not a problem. Have done it plenty. Just pay the R48 and keep proof of payment. Law says aerie must have RSL, which it will in the reg owners name. the pilot may not be that person, but that not a problem... they will obviously send the RSL to the old address, that why you keep proof of payment...

I have Insurance on a plane I do not own. Not a big deal.

next question

I have been in this position. FLY THE PLANE. it eases the frustration and it is legal..... puff puff
