Windsock Wanted

Postby pietmeyer » Thu Nov 11, 2010 2:14 pm

Hi Guys

It seems that Mother Nature did not like our windsock and it was ripped to pieces

Anybody has one lying around or know where we can get one? Saw a nice orange one the other day at another airfield. It seems that the orange one is much more visible than the yellow?

Thanks

They tyre boys give them away. Ask at any and they give you one. Else most pilot shops stock them.

Len, you could always use the real thing - even get glow in the dark options for the "night-landings & approaches" vhpy

It appears the tyre boys don't just give them away any more... a requisition form gets filled in and where the windsock is to be used!

When I worked for the corporates I used to spend mega bucks with the tyre companys and I used to get them easily. They are like hen's teeth now if you want them as a free bee.

I can have them made at a cost if anyone wants? My biggest client does them.
